1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction and a non self-propelled, dismountable design, is capable of berthing and dredging in various waters, from coastal areas to inland rivers. It operates seamlessly in conditions akin to those in navigation area 'A' or below, as per the inland river steel engineering ship manufacture code of P.R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments below class III, in accordance with the dredging engineering construction code set by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The hull is ingeniously designed with three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously dimensioned for easy transportation by road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and bottom hooks. Powered by a Marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge and hydraulic pumps, which in turn power all other equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely of welded steel, the hull delivers the critical strength needed for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plate employed is CCSB, known for its superior shipbuilding quality.
