1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It can berth and dredge in any waters, be it coastal areas or inland rivers, under conditions similar to those in navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship construction of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger is designed to excavate and transport cohesive sediment below Class III, as outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique code by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is ingeniously composed of three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is meticulously dimensioned to allow the YS-CSD450 dredger to be transported via road, rail, or water. The dredger boasts a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. It is powered by a Marine engine, with the main engine driving both the dredge and hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pump powers all other essential equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull, with its all welded steel construction, provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull's steel plate is constructed from CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
