The Cutter Suction Dredger, a marvel of steel construction, is a non self-propelled and dismountable vessel. It can berth and dredge in a variety of waters, both coastal and inland, adhering to conditions outlined for navigation area 'A' or below, as per the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P. R. China.
This powerful dredger excels at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, adhering to Class III specifications in the Dredging Engineering Construction Technique Code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The robust hull comprises three pontoons: a central main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons, designed for seamless transport via road, rail, or water. Featuring a rapid connection-disconnection system, the pontoons are securely fastened with bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger is driven by a Marine engine, with the main engine powering the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic system, in turn, energizes equipment like the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are bolted to the main pontoon, ensuring stability and durability.
