1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, boasts a non-self-propelled, dismountable design. This versatile machine can berth and dredge seamlessly in both coastal waters and inland rivers, adhering to conditions akin to navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line as per the inland river steel engineering ship standards of P. R. China.
The dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, compliant with Class III specifications in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is ingeniously divided into three pontoons: a central main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each segment is meticulously dimensioned for seamless transport via road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, facilitated by deck-level bolts, front and rear hull bolts, and bottom hooks. Notably, the dredger is powered by a Marine engine, where the main engine drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. This hydraulic pump subsequently powers ancillary equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull's all-welded, steel construction ensures the necessary structural strength for rigorous dredging operations. Side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon using reliable bolts.
The steel plates used for the hull are of CCSB grade, specifically designated for shipbuilding purposes.
