1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, boasting robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It can berth and dredge in diverse waters, both coastal and inland, adhering to navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line per the P. R. China's inland river steel engineering ship code.
Ideal for excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, this dredger meets class III standards as specified by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China in their dredging engineering construction techniques.
The hull is ingeniously designed with three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. All components are meticulously dimensioned for easy transport by road, rail, or water. Featuring a rapid connection-disconnection system using bolts and hooks, the YS-CSD450 dredger is powered by a Marine engine. The main engine drives both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all auxiliary equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed with all-welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plate employed is CCSB grade, a shipbuilding steel plate ensuring durability and reliability.
