1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled and dismountable marvel. It is designed to efficiently berth and dredge in various waters, be it coastal areas or inland rivers, adhering to the rigorous standards of navigation area 'A' or below as per the inland river steel engineering ship code of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, compliant with class III specifications as outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull architecture features three meticulously engineered pontoons: one main pontoon housing the engine room, and two side pontoons. This design facilitates easy transportation by road, rail, or water. The advanced rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at the deck level, hull front, rear, and hooks at the bottom, ensures seamless assembly. The dredger’s power comes from a Marine engine, driving both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which, in turn, energizes all other equipment like the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams, among others.
Built with an all-welded, steel hull, this dredger boasts the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using robust bolts.
The hull’s steel plate is of CCSB quality (shipbuilding steel plate), ensuring durability and reliability.
