1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel construction, is a non-self-propelled, dismountable vessel. It is adept at berthing and dredging in various waters, from coastal areas to inland rivers, compliant with navigation area 'A' or below, as per the P. R. China code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment beneath the class III specifications outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique code by the Ministry of Water Resources of P. R. China.
The hull comprises three pontoons: a main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is meticulously dimensioned to enable the YS-CSD450 dredger's transportation via road, rail, or water. A rapid connection-disconnection system, utilizing bolts at deck level as well as hooks at the bottom, ensures seamless assembly and disassembly. The dredger is powered by a robust Marine engine, with the main engine driving the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all essential equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely affixed to the main pontoon with bolts, ensuring structural integrity.
For enhanced durability, the hull steel plate used is CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
