1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger boasts a robust steel construction, is non self-propelled, and has a dismountable design. It is engineered to berth and perform dredging operations in both coastal waters and inland rivers, adhering to the navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line set forth by the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, compliant with class III specifications as per the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
Featuring a hull composed of three pontoons - a main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons, the YS-CSD450 dredger ensures modularity for efficient transport via road, rail, or water. The pontoons are equipped with a quick connection-disconnection system utilizing bolts at the deck level, front and rear hull, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger is powered by a marine engine, with the main engine driving the dredge and hydraulic pumps, which in turn power all other equipment such as cutters, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
All-welded steel construction forms the hull, ensuring the dredger possesses the required strength for rigorous dredging tasks. The side pontoons are bolted to the main pontoon, providing a sturdy and secure configuration.
The hull utilizes CCSB shipbuilding steel plates, ensuring durability and compliance with industry standards.
