1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger boasts steel construction and is non-self-propelled and dismountable. It can berth and dredge in various waters, both coastal and inland, under conditions akin to navigation area 'A' or below, as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment below class III, as per the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is composed of three pontoons: one central pontoon housing the engine room and two side pontoons. The YS-CSD450 dredger's dimensions enable easy transport by road, rail, or water. A rapid connection-disconnection system using bolts at deck level and hooks at the bottom ensures efficient assembly. Powered by a robust marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge and hydraulic pumps, which, in turn, power other equipment such as the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull offers the strength necessary for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon via bolts.
The hull steel plate is crafted from CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
