1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled and easily dismountable marvel. It is designed to efficiently berth and dredge across various waters, whether along coastal areas or inland rivers, in regions classified under navigation area 'A' or beneath the 'A'-line, as per the P.R. China's code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacturing.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, adhering to class III standards set by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China for dredging engineering construction techniques.
The hull is ingeniously composed of three pontoons: one central main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. All components are carefully sized to facilitate transport of the YS-CSD450 dredger via road, rail, or water. The dredger boasts a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck, front, and rear hull levels, and hooks at the bottom. Further, this powerhouse is driven by a marine engine, with the main engine propelling both the dredge and hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pump subsequently powers all other necessary equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely of welded steel, the hull imparts the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon with bolts.
The steel plate used for the hull construction is the superior CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
