1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, a marvel of steel construction, boasts a non-self-propelled, dismountable design. It is engineered to berth and dredge effortlessly in a variety of waters, spanning both coastal areas and inland rivers. This vessel excels in conditions akin to navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line, as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture by P.R. China.
This versatile dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, adhering to the class III specifications in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The robust hull comprises three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Designed for optimal transportation by road, rail, or water, the YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for its pontoons, using bolts at deck level, hull front, and rear, as well as hooks at the bottom. The vessel is powered by a Marine engine which drives both the dredge and hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all other equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Crafted with an all-welded, steel construction, the hull provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon with bolts.
The hull is constructed from CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate), ensuring durability and reliability.
