1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It is engineered to berth and dredge effortlessly in various waters, whether in coastal areas or inland rivers. It adheres to navigation standards akin to those in area 'A' or below the 'A'-line, as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, meeting the class III specifications outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull features a sturdy construction with three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. All components are meticulously dimensioned for easy transportation via road, rail, or water. The dredger boasts a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a Marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn energize other essential equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull's all-welded steel construction endows the dredger with the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely fastened to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plates used are CCSB (shipbuilding steel plates), ensuring maximum durability and strength.
