1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, made of resilient steel and of a non self-propelled, dismountable construction, is engineered to berth and dredge in diverse waters, from coastal areas to inland rivers. It meets the stringent standards comparable to those in navigation area 'A' or beneath the 'A'-line as stipulated in the P.R. China's inland river steel engineering ship manufacture code.
This state-of-the-art dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment beneath class III, as per the dredging engineering construction techniques issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The sophisticated hull is composed of three modular pontoons: one main pontoon, which houses the engine room, and two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously dimensioned for easy transportation via road, rail, or water. The dredger includes an efficient rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at various strategic points. Powered by a robust Marine engine, the main engine drives both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump, which in turn powers essential equipment such as cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed with all-welded steel, the hull provides the necessary robustness required for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely bolted to the main pontoon.
The steel plates used for the hull are CCSB grade shipbuilding steel plates, ensuring excellence in durability and strength.
