The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non-self-propelled, dismountable vessel. It can berth and dredge in various waters, from coastal areas to inland rivers, operating efficiently under conditions akin to navigation area 'A' or below, as per the P.R. China inland river steel engineering ship code.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, meeting the Class III standards outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique code by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
Engineered for versatility, the hull comprises three pontoons: a central main pontoon housing the engine room, flanked by two side pontoons. Its modular design ensures easy transport via road, rail, or water. The rapid connection-disconnection system, using bolts and hooks, facilitates quick assembly. The dredger is powered by a Marine engine, where the main engine drives both the dredge pump and a hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all essential equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The all-welded, steel construction of the hull provides the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
