1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel, capable of docking and dredging across various waters in coastal areas and inland rivers. It meets conditions specified for navigation in area 'A' or below the 'A'-line, complying with the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This powerhouse can excavate and transport cohesive sediments classified below class III, in accordance with the dredging engineering construction technique guidelines issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
Designed for versatility, the hull comprises three pontoons: a main pontoon (housing the engine room), and two side pontoons. The dimensions are optimized for easy transportation by road, rail, or water. It boasts a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger is fortified by a marine engine, with the main engine powering the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn energizes the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
The hull’s all-welded steel construction delivers the durability needed for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely bolted to the main pontoon.
Constructed with CCSB grade shipbuilding steel plate, the hull assures superior strength and durability.
