1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed from high-quality steel, is a non self-propelled, dismountable vessel. It can berth and dredge in coastal areas and inland rivers, conforming to the navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment below class III, as outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is comprised of three pontoons: a main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is dimensioned for convenient transport by road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons using bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. It is powered by a marine engine that drives both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all other equipment, such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull, made entirely of welded steel, provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon with bolts.
The hull's steel plate is constructed from CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
