1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel and designed to be non self-propelled and dismountable, excels in berthing and dredging across coastal areas and inland rivers. It operates efficiently under conditions defined by navigation area 'A' or below, according to the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P.R. China.
This dredger is perfectly suited for excavating and transporting cohesive sediments classified below class III, as specified in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The hull is a composite structure of three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is meticulously dimensioned to ensure the YS-CSD450 dredger can be transported seamlessly by road, rail, or water. Featuring a rapid connection-disconnection system, the pontoons are securely attached using bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, along with bottom hooks. Notably, the dredger is powered by a marine engine, with the main engine driving the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all auxiliary equipment such as the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
With an all-welded steel construction, the hull provides the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are firmly connected to the main pontoon using bolts, ensuring structural integrity.
