1.Introduction:
The BV Certified Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non-self-propelled, dismountable vessel. It boasts the versatility to berth and dredge across diverse waters—whether in coastal areas or inland rivers—under conditions akin to navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line, as delineated in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
Engineered to perfection, this dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments classified below class III, in line with the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The sophisticated hull design comprises three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously sized for seamless transportation via road, rail, or water. The dredger features an innovative rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a marine engine, the main engine drives both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, energizes all other equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed with all-welded, high-strength steel, the hull provides the necessary durability for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are firmly affixed to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plate used is CCSB, a high-grade shipbuilding steel plate, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
