1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed from high-grade steel, is a versatile, non self-propelled, dismountable vessel. It is engineered to berth and dredge in a variety of waters, ranging from coastal areas to inland rivers. This dredger operates under conditions similar to navigation area 'A' or below, as outlined in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture in China.
This dredger excels at excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, aligning with the standards specified for class III in the dredging engineering construction techniques stipulated by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of China.
The hull is divided into three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is designed for easy transport via road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, facilitated by bolts and hooks at strategic points. It is powered by a marine engine, which drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump powers all additional equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
The hull, entirely welded from steel, provides the strength necessary for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon using bolts.
