1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger of robust steel construction is a non self-propelled, dismountable type, designed to berth and dredge effortlessly in both coastal areas and inland rivers. It operates under conditions equivalent to the navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line as per the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P. R. China.
This advanced dredger is engineered to excavate and transport cohesive sediment up to class III, as per the dredging engineering construction techniques outlined by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull features three distinct pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously dimensioned for seamless transportation via road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger boasts a swift connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and secure hooks at the bottom. Further enhancing its capabilities, the dredger is powered by a marine engine. The main engine drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn power all other equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
The hull, constructed entirely of welded steel, provides the necessary robustness for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plates are crafted from CCSB shipbuilding steel, ensuring maximum durability and strength.
