1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel construction, is a non-self-propelled, dismountable masterpiece. It is designed to berth and dredge in a variety of water conditions, both along coastal areas and inland rivers, adhering to the specifications in navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line as outlined in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P.R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, complying with the class III specifications in the code for dredging engineering construction techniques issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The hull is comprised of three cleverly designed pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is precisely dimensioned to ensure the YS-CSD450 dredger can be transported by road, rail, or water. The dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system, utilizing bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom for seamless assembly. Powered by a robust Marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all essential equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Built with all-welded, steel construction, the hull provides the necessary strength required for arduous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plate utilized is the superior CCSB shipbuilding steel plate.
