1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction and designed as a non self-propelled, dismountable vessel, excels in both coastal and inland waters. It is engineered to meet specifications akin to navigation area 'A' or below, as defined in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger is ideal for excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, adhering to class III standards as specified in the dredging engineering construction techniques by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull structure is composed of three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Designed for seamless transport via road, rail, or water, the YS-CSD450 dredger features a quick connection-disconnection system for the pontoons. This system employs bolts at the deck level and hull front and rear, as well as bottom hooks. The dredger is powered by a Marine engine, with the main engine driving the dredge and hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pump, in turn, energizes all equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull ensures the durability and strength necessary for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plates used are of CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate) grade, ensuring high-quality construction.
