1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction and designed for dismountable, non self-propelled operations, can berth and perform dredging activities in various waters, including coastal areas and inland rivers. It meets the stringent conditions of navigation area 'A' as specified in the P. R. China code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture.
This versatile dredger is engineered to excavate and transport cohesive sediment, adhering to the class III standards in the dredging engineering construction code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull, a marvel of engineering, comprises three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously designed for efficient transportation via road, rail, or water. The dredger features a swift connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger's power system is driven by a Marine engine, with the main engine powering both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn energize other critical equipment like the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using durable bolts.
The hull steel plate is made from CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate), ensuring superior durability.
