1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable vessel designed to adeptly berth and dredge in various aquatic environments including coastal areas and inland rivers. It operates efficiently under conditions equivalent to or below navigation area 'A', as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacturing by P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments compliant with class III standards outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is comprised of three pontoons: a central main pontoon housing the engine room, and two side pontoons. Engineered for convenience, all parts are dimensioned to enable seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at the deck, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a marine engine, the dredger's main engine drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn powers auxiliary equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely fastened to the main pontoon using bolts.
The steel plate used for the hull construction is CCSB-grade, ensuring superior durability and performance.
