1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger of steel construction, the non self-propelled, dismountable type, is capable of berthing and dredging in diverse waters, both coastal and inland rivers. It operates efficiently under conditions similar to those in navigation area "A" or below the "A"-line, as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of the P. R. China.
This versatile dredger is designed to excavate and transport cohesive sediment that falls below class III, as outlined in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
Crafted with precision, the hull of the YS-CSD450 comprises three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is carefully dimensioned for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. Equipped with a rapid connection-disconnection system, the pontoons are secured using bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Further enhancing its capabilities, the dredger is powered by a Marine engine, where the main engine drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all ancillary equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull features an all-welded, steel construction, ensuring the necessary strength for robust dredging operations. Side pontoons are connected to the main pontoon via bolts.
The hull utilizes CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate), known for its superior quality and durability.
