1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed of resilient steel and designed as a non-self-propelled, dismountable vessel, is capable of efficient berthing and dredging in various waters, including coastal areas and inland rivers. It complies with the navigation area 'A' classification or below, as specified in the P.R. China's inland river steel engineering ship manufacturing code.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, adhering to class III standards set by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China for dredging engineering construction techniques.
The robust hull is composed of three pontoons: a central main pontoon housing the engine room, flanked by two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously designed for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. The dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and bottom hooks. The entire system is powered by a marine engine, with the main engine driving the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all auxiliary equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed with all-welded steel, the hull guarantees the strength necessary for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull utilizes CCSB grade shipbuilding steel plates for enhanced durability.
