1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, stands as a non-self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It is designed to berth and dredge in a variety of waters, whether in coastal regions or inland rivers. It complies with the stringent conditions of navigation area 'A' or below, as specified by the P. R. China's code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture.
This efficient dredger is perfect for excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, adhering to the class III standards specified by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is ingeniously designed with three pontoons: a main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously dimensioned for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. The dredger features an innovative rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a robust Marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn powers essential equipment such as the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed with all-welded steel, the hull ensures the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The steel plate used for the hull is CCSB, a premium shipbuilding steel plate.
