1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, meticulously crafted with robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel. Capable of berthing and dredging in various waters, from coastal areas to inland rivers, it meets the rigorous standards of navigation area 'A' or below, as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, adhering to the class III specifications outlined in the dredging engineering construction techniques by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull features three intricately designed pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. These components are dimensioned for easy transport via road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger boasts a rapid connection-disconnection system, seamlessly integrating the pontoons with bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a Marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all other equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull's all-welded, steel construction imbues the dredger with the necessary strength for intensive dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely bolted to the main pontoon, ensuring structural integrity.
The hull steel plate employed is the high-grade CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
