1. Introduction:
Introducing the Cutter Suction Dredger, a marvel of steel construction, designed as a non self-propelled, dismountable unit. This powerhouse is capable of berthing and dredging in a variety of waters, from coastal areas to inland rivers, perfectly suited for conditions similar to those in navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line, as per the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, falling under class III as specified in the dredging engineering construction techniques by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The robust hull is ingeniously divided into three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Designed for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water, the YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system facilitated by bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger is driven by a powerful Marine engine, which propels the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all other essential equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Crafted with all welded, steel construction, the hull ensures the dredger has the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon through robust bolts.
The hull boasts the use of CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate) to guarantee durability and performance.
