State-of-the-Art Cutter Head Suction Dredger Crafted at Heng Peng Shipyard
1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable vessel. It is capable of docking and dredging in various waters, including both coastal areas and inland rivers. This versatile dredger is compliant with navigation standards of area "A" or lower, as defined by the inland river steel engineering ship manufacture code of P. R. China.
This innovative dredger is proficient in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment below the class III level, as stipulated in the dredging engineering construction technique code by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is ingeniously designed with three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is meticulously dimensioned for seamless transportation via road, rail, or water. The dredger boasts an efficient rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a marine engine, the main engine drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump subsequently powers all other equipment, including the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon using bolts.
Premium CCSB-grade shipbuilding steel plates are used in the hull construction.
