1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger of steel construction, the non self-propelled, dismountable type, is able to berth and dredge at any waters both in the coastal area and inland rivers, with similar conditions to that in navigation area "A" or below the "A"-line specified in code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, compliant with class III standards in the code for dredging engineering construction technique issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull consists of three modular pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is designed for easy transport by road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system using bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a robust Marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge and hydraulic pumps, which in turn power the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull, constructed entirely from welded steel, ensures the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon with bolts.
The hull steel plate used is CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
