1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed with high-grade steel and designed for non self-propelled, dismountable operation, is perfectly suited for dredging in both coastal areas and inland rivers. It adheres to the stringent standards of navigation area 'A' and below, as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This sophisticated dredger excels at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, compliant with class III specifications in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull comprises three expertly designed pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is precisely dimensioned to facilitate easy transport via road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger is driven by a powerful Marine engine, with the main engine powering the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed with all-welded steel, the hull provides the necessary robustness and durability for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts, ensuring structural integrity.
The hull steel plates used are CCSB grade, confirming their suitability for shipbuilding.
