The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from steel and designed as a non-self-propelled, dismantlable vessel, possesses the versatility to berth and perform dredging operations in any waterway, whether in coastal zones or inland rivers, under conditions comparable to those defined for navigation area "A" or below the "A"-line as stipulated in China's code for the manufacture of inland river steel engineering ships. This dredger is capable of excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, classified up to class III as per the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by China's Ministry of Water Resources.
Its hull consists of three pontoons: a primary pontoon housing the engine room, accompanied by two side pontoons. Each component is dimensioned to facilitate the transportation of the YS-CSD450 dredger via road, rail, or water routes. For ease of assembly and disassembly, the dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system utilizing bolts at deck level, at both the bow and stern of the hull, as well as hooks at the bottom. Furthermore, the dredger is propelled by a marine engine, with the main engine serving as the power source for both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, operates other essential equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
