1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed from robust steel, is a non-self-propelled, dismountable vessel engineered to berth and dredge in diverse waters, including coastal areas and inland rivers. It complies with navigation area 'A' standards or below, as specified in the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P. R. China.
The dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediments up to Class III, as defined by the Dredging Engineering Construction Technique Code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
Comprising three pontoons—one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons—this dredger is designed for easy transport by road, rail, or water. The pontoons are swiftly connected and disconnected using bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. A powerful Marine engine drives the main and hydraulic pumps, which in turn power all other equipment, including the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely of welded steel, the hull is designed to provide the strength necessary for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely bolted to the main pontoon.
The hull is fabricated from high-quality CCSB shipbuilding steel plate.
