1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger is a marvel of steel construction, non self-propelled and dismountable, designed to berth and dredge efficiently in any water bodies within coastal and inland river areas. It operates seamlessly under conditions akin to navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line as specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, meeting the stringent class III standards specified in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
Featuring a robust hull consisting of three pontoons – a main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons – the YS-CSD450 dredger is meticulously designed for easy transportation by road, rail, or water. The innovative rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and bottom hooks, enhances operational efficiency. Powered by a high-performance Marine engine, the dredger's main engine drives both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump, which in turn powers all other equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely of welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon via bolts.
The hull's steel plates are crafted from high-quality CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
