1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed of robust steel and featuring a non self-propelled, dismountable design, is engineered to operate efficiently in both coastal and inland waters. It meets navigation area 'A' standards or those specified below the 'A' line according to the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacturing by the P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, adhering to Class III specifications outlined in the dredging engineering construction techniques code by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is composed of three pontoons: a central main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. These components are optimized for transport via road, rail, or water. The dredger boasts an innovative rapid connection-disconnection system that employs bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom, ensuring seamless assembly and disassembly. Powered by a robust Marine engine, the main engine drives both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump, which in turn powers essential equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed with an all-welded, steel hull, this dredger is built for the rigors of demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely fastened to the main pontoon using durable bolts.
The hull steel plate used is CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
