1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed of robust steel, is a non self-propelled, dismountable model. It is designed to efficiently berth and dredge across various waters, including coastal areas and inland rivers. This versatile machine adheres to the 'A' navigation area standards or below, as per the P. R. China's inland river steel engineering ship manufacture code.
Engineered to excavate and transport cohesive sediment, this dredger meets the class III criteria detailed in the dredging engineering construction technique code by the Ministry of Water Resources of P. R. China.
The dredger's hull is comprised of three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Every component is meticulously sized to facilitate transport via road, rail, or water. A rapid connection-disconnection system using bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and bottom hooks ensures ease of assembly. The dredger is powered by a marine engine, with the main engine driving both the dredge and hydraulic pumps, which in turn power all equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
The hull features an all-welded, steel construction to provide the requisite strength for intensive dredging operations. Side pontoons are securely affixed to the main pontoon with bolts.
The steel plates used for the hull are CCSB-grade (shipbuilding steel plates).
