1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, features a non-self-propelled, dismountable design. It boasts the capability to berth and dredge in various waters, be it coastal regions or inland rivers, conforming to the navigation area 'A' or below 'A'-line specifications as per the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P.R. China.
This versatile dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment as classified under Class III in the dredging engineering construction techniques outlined by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The hull is ingeniously constructed with three pontoons – a main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. All components are meticulously dimensioned to facilitate easy transportation by road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 model features an efficient rapid connection-disconnection system for pontoons, secured with bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and bottom hooks. The dredger is driven by a powerful Marine engine, with the main engine propelling the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump powers all essential equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
To ensure impeccable strength for dredging operations, the hull boasts an all-welded steel construction. The side pontoons are securely bolted to the main pontoon, enhancing the structural integrity of the dredger.
The hull steel plate employed is CCSB, a premium shipbuilding steel plate.
