The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It is adept at berthing and dredging in diverse waters, be it coastal or inland rivers, closely mirroring the conditions of navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line as per the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of the P.R. China.
Designed for versatility, this dredger excels at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, adhering to the Class III standards as specified in the Dredging Engineering Construction Technique Code by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The hull structure is an ingeniously designed assembly comprising three pontoons: one central main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. These components are meticulously sized to facilitate seamless transport via road, rail, or water. Equipped with a state-of-the-art rapid connection-disconnection system, the pontoons are securely fastened using bolts at the deck level, and hooks at the hull's front, rear, and bottom. The dredger is powered by a robust marine engine that drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, the latter powering ancillary equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
The hull boasts an all-welded, steel construction, ensuring the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are seamlessly bolted to the main pontoon, creating a unified, resilient structure.
