The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed of steel and of the non-self-propelled, dismountable type, is capable of berthing and dredging in any waters, both in coastal areas and inland rivers, under conditions similar to those in navigation area "A" or below the "A"-line specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of the People's Republic of China.
This dredger can be utilized to excavate and transport cohesive sediment of a class not exceeding III, as specified in the code for dredging engineering construction technique issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of the People's Republic of China.
The hull of the dredger comprises three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. All components are dimensioned to facilitate transportation by road, rail, or water. The dredger is equipped with a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, which is achieved using bolts at deck level, the hull's front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Additionally, the dredger is powered by a marine engine, with the main engine driving both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers other equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
The hull is constructed entirely of welded steel, providing the dredger with the necessary strength required for dredging operations. The side pontoons are connected to the main pontoon using bolts. The hull steel plate utilized is CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate), ensuring durability and reliability in harsh dredging environments.
