The Cutter Suction Dredger features a robust steel construction and a non self-propelled, dismountable design. It is capable of berthing and dredging in various waters, including coastal areas and inland rivers. Suitable for navigation areas classified as 'A' or below, as per the regulations specified in the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger excels at excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, specifically those classified below Class III according to the dredging engineering construction techniques issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull comprises three pontoons: a central main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Designed for easy transportation via road, rail, or water, the YS-CSD450 dredger is equipped with a rapid connection-disconnection system using bolts at various levels and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a marine engine, the main engine drives both the dredge and hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pump subsequently energizes ancillary equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the dredger with the necessary strength for efficient dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull is made from high-quality CCSB shipbuilding steel plate.
