1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed with robust steel and designed as a non-self-propelled, dismountable type, is crafted to berth and dredge efficiently in both coastal waters and inland rivers. It is adaptable to conditions akin to those in navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line, as per the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger is proficient in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, classified under Class III, in alignment with the Dredging Engineering Construction Technique Code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is ingeniously composed of three pontoons: a primary pontoon (housing the engine room) and two supplementary side pontoons. Each component is meticulously dimensioned for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. Featuring a swift connection-disconnection system, the dredger ensures efficiency using bolts at deck level, and hooks at the front, rear, and bottom of the hull. Propelled by a robust Marine engine, the main engine powers both the dredge and hydraulic pumps. These hydraulic systems further empower ancillary equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams, ensuring optimal performance.
The hull's all-welded steel construction imbues the dredger with the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The secure connection of the side pontoons to the main pontoon is facilitated by durable bolts.
The hull steel plate utilized is the high-quality CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate).
