1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger is a marvel of steel construction—a non self-propelled, dismountable vessel that can berth and dredge in both coastal and inland waters. Designed to operate under similar conditions as those in navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line specified in the P. R. China code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture, this dredger is versatile and efficient.
This dredger is exceptional for excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, adhering to the class III specifications in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The robust hull is composed of three pontoons: a main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is meticulously designed to enable the YS-CSD450 dredger to be transported via road, rail, or water. Featuring a rapid connection-disconnection system for seamless assembly and disassembly, the pontoons are joined using bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger is powered by a marine engine, with the main engine driving both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic system powers all other equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Built with all-welded steel construction, the hull ensures the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts, enhancing the vessel's structural integrity.
The hull steel plate utilized in construction is CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate), ensuring high durability and strength.
