The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed of steel and of the non-self-propelled, dismountable type, is capable of berthing and dredging in any waters, both in coastal areas and inland rivers, with conditions similar to those in navigation area "A" or below the "A"-line specified in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of the People's Republic of China.
This dredger can be utilized to excavate and transport cohesive sediment of a class not exceeding III, as specified in the code for dredging engineering construction technique issued by the Ministry of Water Resources of the People's Republic of China.
The hull comprises three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. All parts are dimensioned to facilitate the transportation of the YS-CSD450 dredger by road, rail, or water. The dredger is equipped with a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, achieved through the use of bolts at deck level, at the hull's front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Additionally, the dredger is powered by a marine engine, with the main engine driving both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers other equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
