The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed from robust steel, features a non-self-propelled, modular design. It is capable of berthing and operating in diverse water conditions, spanning coastal areas and inland rivers, following specifications for navigation area 'A' or below, as outlined in the P.R. China code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture.
This high-performance dredger is engineered to excavate and transport cohesive sediments as per the class III specifications set forth in the dredging engineering construction techniques by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P.R. China.
The hull is comprised of three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Every component is designed for seamless transport via road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger boasts a swift connection-disconnection system facilitated by bolts at the deck level, hull front, rear, and hooks at the bottom. Additionally, it is powered by a marine engine that drives both the dredge and hydraulic pumps, which in turn power equipment such as the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull is built to withstand the rigorous demands of dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull is fabricated from high-grade CCSB shipbuilding steel plates.
