1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It is designed to berth and dredge efficiently in various waters, both coastal and inland, adhering to the stringent conditions set in navigation area 'A' or below as per the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture stipulated by P.R. China.
Engineered to excavate and transport cohesive sediment, this dredger operates below the class III specifications as per the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
Featuring a robust hull consisting of three pontoons - one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons, each part is meticulously dimensioned to facilitate transportation by road, rail, or water. The dredger boasts a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a Marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which subsequently powers all other equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary durability for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon through robust bolts.
The steel plate used in the hull construction is CCSB, a top-tier shipbuilding grade steel plate.
