1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non-self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It excels in both coastal and inland waters, operating effectively in areas classified under navigation area 'A' or below, as per the inland river steel engineering ship manufacturing codes of P. R. China.
This powerful dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, adhering to the class III standards set forth in the dredging engineering construction techniques by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is ingeniously designed with three pontoons: a main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is meticulously dimensioned for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. It features a rapid connection-disconnection system utilizing bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooks at the bottom. Powered by a marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which in turn energize other equipment like the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Built with all-welded steel construction, the hull provides the necessary strength for rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts, ensuring stability and durability.
The hull is constructed using high-grade CCSB shipbuilding steel plates, guaranteeing enhanced durability.
