1. Introduction

The high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe for sediment is a high-performance pipeline produced for the needs of sediment and slurry transportation and drainage. Its main raw materials are high molecular polyethylene HDPE and related raw materials, which have the following outstanding properties:

1. Lightweight and high strength: This high-strength plastic sand transport pipe is lightweight, only one-eighth the weight of steel pipe. The flange bolt connection method makes installation, disassembly, and transportation convenient and fast, greatly reducing the start-up time and improving efficiency. Compared with traditional welded pipelines, even if they are damaged by external forces, repairing or replacing the pipeline is more time-saving and labor-saving.

2. Outstanding Flexibility: This sand transport pipe has good flexibility, with high tensile strength, high strength, and high elasticity. The tube wall will not break when it is folded, squeezed, or impacted by internal and external forces. After being connected in water, the pipeline can bend, and 4-8 pipelines can even bend 360 degrees, showing excellent wind and wave resistance. When connecting on land, the concave and convex surfaces can also be directly connected within a 30-degree angle, eliminating the need to adjust the ground.

3. Strong wear resistance and corrosion resistance: The wear resistance of this pipeline is 4-8 times that of steel pipes, and its service life is longer. Even if it is soaked in seawater for 50 years, its material will not change. It also has anti-aging properties and can last for 5-8 years depending on the sand content.

4. Customized and convenient: The length of the sediment transport pipe is 8-12 meters, and the size can be customized according to customer needs. The finished pipe has movable metal flanges at both ends, and the entire pipe has no welds. The stability of the pipeline connection is ensured through flange bolt connection. The pipe orifice is lined with steel rings to ensure no deformation or leakage during long-term installation and disassembly, ensuring high efficiency in the conveying process.

5. High conveying efficiency: The inner and outer walls of the sand transport pipe are smooth, with a minimal friction coefficient, resulting in a conveying efficiency 20%-30% higher than that of steel pipes. Its use temperature range is -40ºC to 60ºC, which can adapt to various harsh climate temperature changes.

6. Low total cost and high efficiency: Whether used on land or in water for a long time, the sediment transport pipe project has low total cost, high efficiency, and is safer and more convenient.
