1.Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction and designed for dismountable and non self-propelled operations, is versatile enough to berth and dredge in any coastal and inland waters. It adheres to the stringent conditions of navigation area 'A' or below, as specified in the P. R. China code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacturing.
Engineered for excellence, this dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment categorized below class III, in accordance with the dredging engineering construction techniques issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull structure comprises three meticulously designed pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each component is dimensioned for seamless transportation via road, rail, or water. Featuring a rapid connection-disconnection system, the pontoons are secured with bolts at the deck level and hull front and rear, while hooks are used at the bottom. The dredger's power is derived from a high-performance Marine engine, which drives both the dredge and hydraulic pumps, subsequently powering auxiliary equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from high-strength welded steel, the hull is engineered to endure the demands of rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The steel plates used for the hull are CCSB grade, ensuring superior durability and performance.
