1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, a marvel of steel construction and dismountable design, is engineered to operate in various waters, including coastal areas and inland rivers. This versatile dredger meets the stringent conditions of navigation area 'A' and adheres to the inland river steel engineering ship standards set forth by P. R. China.
This dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediment, compliant with the class III standards specified in the dredging engineering construction techniques by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
Built with precision, the hull comprises three pontoons: one main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons, designed for easy transportation by road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 dredger features a rapid connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, facilitated by deck-level bolts, front and rear hull bolts, and bottom hooks. Powered by a marine engine, the main engine drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump, which subsequently powers all equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed with all welded steel, the hull ensures the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely attached to the main pontoon using robust bolts.
The steel plates used for the hull are high-quality CCSB (shipbuilding steel plates).
